I noticed that my shower each time was smelling more and more like bleach water. I saw a shower filter ad that claimed it removed all the unwanted chemicals from the water. Six months after installing you could take the filter out and reverse it and use it another six months. Well, I had mine a little over a year before I had to order The replacement filter. Just like before the smell was gone and no leaks. Next time I’m going to replace it in 12 months so that I don’t have to smell that horrible bleach smell. By the way, this is a very very simple DIY. A pair of pliers or channel locks and in less than five minutes later you’re done. You will need do you use thread sealer. I prefer the Teflon tape.
