Best Foods for Your Gut Health

Need to go? Or is it more like you can’t go?

No one likes to talk about their BMs. I get it.

But there’s no reason to suffer in silence. There are things you can do today to start “going” again.

Let me share with you some of the best foods you can eat for your gut health.

Not only are these foods delicious, but they’ll make your tummy happy too.

Beans, Oats, & Fruits

This one is pretty obvious. But foods high in fiber help your gut absorb more water. In turn, this helps food pass through your GI tract faster. Which is how you can become more regular.

Yogurt, Kombucha, & Kefir

These foods are packed with probiotics. What are those? Well, probiotics are “good” microorganisms. You naturally have millions of them in your gut. But some are good and others are bad. So the idea here is to flood your gut with the good ones. Because they promote good gut health and improve your ability to digest food.

Asparagus, Bananas and Garlic

Ok, not to get confusing… but these foods are packed with prebiotics. Wait, you mean probiotics? Nope. Let me explain. It’s super simple; prebiotics are food for the good microorganisms in your gut. Hey, those little guys have to eat too. When you eat PREbiotic-rich food, you help feed them the “good stuff.” Which helps your gut even more.

Salmon, Broccoli and Walnuts

These foods fight inflammation. Too much inflammation can be hard on your gut. It can even cause some folks bad GI conditions like irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn’s disease, & ulcerative colitis. So be sure to get an extra helping of these anti-inflammatory foods.

Now, if none of that sounds good to you... You should know that a varied diet is one of the best things you can do for your gut. So, be sure to “mix it up” to keep everything running smoothly.

Happy Eating & God Bless
